Big Fights Small Fights

The day actually started around 1AM as David started complaining about his teeth. He said he was teething. We offered some motrin or tylenol, but he is afraid of swallowing pills, we got out of bed and found liquid medicine but he was to afraid to take that to. He came in several times after that too. After that I just could not fall asleep. I kept thinking about everything from how much the kids were going to drive me crazy to how much work I had no gotten done yet, everything. And of course the big question on everyone in the family’s mind should we move? It was a question we were getting hounded with everyday. Some of the kids want to move to Henderson, Nevada, some want to move to South Carolina, and some, well I have no clue. So after much tossing and turning maybe I got 3 or 4 hours of sleep, so I woke up a mess.
Today was also the first day of the summer when the middle school kids were home, the only two that had school were Brendan and Logan, and Logan had a half day. Dylan is getting grouchier every day. In case I didn’t tell you he broke his back. We all felt really bad for him initially but now he is driving all of us crazy to the point where I think if he was 18 he would be living out on the streets. He fights with everyone even with Logan the 5 year old. If you just glance at him he is ready to start a fight. Now we all understand it, he is bored he wants to wrestle, he is depressed, we all get it, but come on we are your family we didn’t break his back.
Today my husband and I were doing work, quite successfully until the first fight broke out at around 10AM Amanda accused Emily of breaking her sandal and ripping off the flower off the shoe. Now we have no idea who did, who was wearing them. So how can we solve the problem, no do I really care about a sandal. I have grants to write, clients to keep happy, that is what I care about. David woke up around 11. Naturally he tooth or teeth still hurt. We called up the dentist made him an appointment for tomorrow. Dylan came in complaining as well, looks like he has an abscess. Now we really do not plan these things in groups, just happens that way when you have so many children. So we called back up the dentist and decided that it was time to get all of their teeth cleaned so Tim scheduled all of them for teeth cleanings. Tomorrow Dylan and David are going along with Brendan.
So Lunchtime comes and I am trying hard to work, Bradley is sleeping, TJ is harassing me about moving and Logan who just got home from a half day at school is hungry. So I tell Emily to make lunch. She makes one can of tuna fish for her and Logan. Next thing you know Meghan is hungry she makes a can for herself. Before you know it I go down to make lunch for Tim and I, and there is no more tuna fish I do a little counting and realize that there are 8 kids home, 1 is sleeping and they have eaten 6 cans of tuna fish, pretty amazing, eh? You see we go through a lot of food but even that is crazy for us.
Brendan comes home from school at 3 and before you know it Dylan is fighting with Brendan, Brendan hits Dylan with a soda bottle and Dylan punches Brendan who is 9 in the back, pretty mature for a 17 year old. See what I mean for how grouchy Dylan is.
Bradley finally wakes up at some point in the day and I give him a little push by placing his ad for web site design on Craigslist and help him design a game plan. He comes up with great plans just needs a little help in motivation and in actually doing things.
Well Tim made dinner and it is now time to eat. Dinner for tonight is 6 pounds of chicken thighs, 6 boxes of kraft mac n cheese, and 4 cans of corn along with a gallon of milk. I will continue after dinner.

After dinner the kids were fighting over the computer, and Tim and I were watching Wipeout and the I Survived A Japanese Game Show, talk about funny. Those shows are so funny, I was laughing so hard. Logan fell asleep on the livingroom floor. Brendan is sleeping too. Everyone else is still awake. I would chase them into bed but then they would be up early, and who wants that. I may actually have some time in the morning to do some work if they are sleeping.

We did not make it down to wrestling tonight, things just got to crazy, I feel really bad that we did not make it down. I feel like they are going to forget how to wrestle. It is terrible for us to miss so much time. When Dylan was wrestling, prior to his broken back we went every single day and went to tournaments almost every weekend. We had articles written about us and a movie made about our family, about the wrestling aspect. There was even a reality show that wanted us on the show, bet you can guess which one.

Well I am going to write a few articles before I go to sleep and maybe take a shower, it is really hot in here. Have a good night. Thanks for reading and hope you come back tomorrow.

Burning Down the House

Today started off with Logan wondering why he was not going to school. Logan has a strange sounding condition, he is allergic to the cold and today they were playing in wading pools and in sprinklers and that is one of the many things that brings him to a full wave of hives. He is forced to take medicine everyday and even with that he still breaks out so he has to avoid many common things.
Today was also the first day of summer, what I commonly call in a friendly way “my hell”. Today only Meghan, Emily and Brendan had school, everyone else was home, what fun. Emily created a twitter account for Logan who is 5, he was so funny he came running into tell us he said mommy, daddy, Emily just got me a titter. It was really funny.
I decided to try to work from my bedroom because my office seemed to be the hang out spot of the day. I had lots of work to do for some grant writing. My husband was trying to help. Dylan was driving us mad fighting with everyone.
The first major event of the day was when Emily came in all upset because Logan the 5 year old had taken a metal bat to her large wooden dollhouse and demolished the roof. I told her to leave it outside my door and that I would fix it later. David overheard Emily complaining that Logan destroyed her house and he took her house downstairs and out the door and completely destroyed it with an ax along with Dylan, so much for the broken back right?
To make matters worse, we hear Bradley in the distance call Dylan to come here, we didn’t think anything of it at the time until we started to smell smoke. They had built a fire outside and were burning the dollhouse. Emily was devastated. Tim runs outside to see what is on fire and starts screaming at them all, they all run inside and Tim has to put the fire out. Meanwhile I am inside having no clue what is going on. I was writing a travel review article.
Logan came in and was saying sorry to Emily and we put him in time out and made him sit on the end of my bed in my room. He fell off the bed, and jumped up and said “I’m okay” it was just funny you had to laugh even though he was in trouble.
Oh earlier in the day we were dealing with Bradley issues. See he now has no job so he slept till noon. He is a gifted web designer so we told him to start his own business. So we thought just maybe he would be up early today and would be getting things established, not Bradley, I guess he expects it to jump to him. He is also having girlfriend problems. His girlfriend likes to pay attention to what her friends think a little to much, she lives her life through them, and it is Bradley who gets hurt from it. Last I heard she wanted him back to take it slow. I have no clue where this is going to go. Bradley also has maturity issues. When he realized that I said something about his girlfriend on the blog he called her and told her to read it. We think he should pay more attention to getting his business off the ground or into getting another job because we are not going to deal with his drama on a daily basis to much else going on here. We really like his girlfriend and wish things worked out for him and feel if it is meant to be it will work, but also feel that they have to deal with their relationship themselves.
Well it is 10pm eastern standard time, we just ate dinner, ham steak, mac n cheese and corn, Tim my wonderful husband made it all. I was not feeling well and had to much work to do, so he made it all and even served me. One thing I can be thankful for everyday of my life is my husband, he takes great care of me. Now if I could only get my kids to do the same. Welcome to my world of crazy, funny times. Thank you for reading. I hope you continue to follow. Have a great night, hope you’ll follow tomorrow.

OMG I Do Have 9 Kids

Today has been one of those days where at the end of the day, I feel like I have 20 kids instead of 9, yeah like 9 is not bad enough. The day started off as what I call “Too Much Information Day”. My husband and I were at the grocery store and we get a picture text from our 13 year old daughter Meghan, it was a picture of a condemn that was found in Brad, the 18 year olds bedroom by our 5 year old, Logan. Of course Meghan had to take a picture of it and send it to us while we were shopping in Walmart. So we get home and call Brad up to our room to discuss the condemn, now on one hand we are happy he is using condemns on the other hand we are pissed he is having sex in our house. Then our oldest comes in, he is 20 to tell us that he had sex with his gf too, like gees like one sex talk is not enough. We get done with these discussions, and then David comes in because he is constipated, and doesn’t know what to do. Amanda who has been listing to the sex talk and David’s butt busting conversation thinks its not fair. Amanda, who is 16 has been listening behind and closed door comes in to say, “Why do TJ and Bradley get to have sex with their gf’s but it is a big deal if the word is even mentioned about her bf. . By the end of the night I am saying “Dear God, please help me come up with answers to some of these questions, and help me fall asleep…….”
