Graduation to Migraine
Jul 2nd
Today my sister called me first thing in the morning, she was having a little get together at her house for Vinnie, her son, Tyler her other son, and Logan to celebrate their graduation. Tyler, her son had graduated from 5th grade, Vinnie who is exactly the same age as Vinnie, graduated from Pre K, as did Logan. We were running around all morning at the store buying stuff for the party, which was a job in itself.
Having a large family, you may call me a receipt checker, I know exactly how much every item is supposed to cost and I know how much the total bill should be so when the bill ended up being $9 more than what it should have been we stopped with our cart and started looking through the receipt. I have been overcharged on the shampoo and the ice cream cones. They were having a great sale on ice cream treats. Popsicles 10 boxes for $10 and ice cream sundaes 1/2 price which I figured would be a nice treat for me and Tim. And then the shampoo that was buy 1 get 2 free. So I started looking through the receipt and neither the shampoo nor the cones came up right. So I went up to the service counter and of course they were arguing with me, like I didn’t know what I was talking about. Come on I am a receipt expert, they were the ones who screwed up. I was more than happy to escort them to the signs to demonstrate that I was right. Like who wouldn’t mind doing that. If for not other reason just to prove who was right. Right?
Naturally, all that arguing and proving who was right wasted way to much time so when we got home we were rushing. It was already 1130 and we had to be to Lisa’s by 1pm. We still had to take a shower and make macaroni salad. So we set Emily and Dylan up in the kitchen and Tim washed the dishes, because Dylan was being lazy again. Dylan and Emily cut up the green peppers, red peppers, and cucumbers, and cooked the macaroni for us and left it in cold water for us. Tim and I quickly took showers. Meghan, Amanda and the rest of them did what they usually do, nothing. We were only able to bring 6 of them with us because of the tire issue with the Saab and TJ had work. David was being punished. I just felt bad for Bradley. After all, he was 18 he didn’t need to go to a 5 and 10 year olds graduation party, right?
The party was small there was about 25 to 30 people there. It was nice we had lunch and relaxed. The kids went swimming, went on the trampoline, and played with the water guns. The kids love going to Lisa’s house.
There is a funny story about Vinnie and Logan. They were born on the same day. Lisa called me saying that she thought she was in labor. I said are you sure you are not due for another 4 or 5 weeks. She said yes, so I said I would go to the hospital with her to keep her company. Well this is where it gets funny. She is hooked up to the monitor they decide that yes, she is in labor, and I start having contractions, which was hysterical. Now if you are sitting there scratching your head wondering why that would be funny, it is because I was induced for all of the others, so going into labor naturally 5 weeks early would be very unusual. Lisa and I had due dates days apart. Lisa was in labor, I was in labor. Logan started having problems, I ended up having a C-section, I had my baby first, 6 hours before Lisa. So Logan and Vinnie were both born on February 27th, 6 hours apart. They were in the NICU together, Logan was there about 3 weeks.
So we stayed at Lisa’s til 5 and came home cause I had some work to do. Well as we were driving home I started getting a really bad migraine headache. So by the time we got home, no work, right to bed.
Tim is a great husband, he tried so hard to take care of me with this migraine, rough night.
